The drain on our Pilote is a long way underneath the motorhome and is fine as long as there is a drive over waste disposal. Not long after we got it last year I rigged up a corrugated pond pipe to it, with a short section which stayed in situ held by a spring clip screwed to the underside. I then had two extra (different) lengths which meant I would be able to empty regardless of where the grey water drain was, or throw it into a hedge if that's what the site owner asked. However, the pipes leaked at the joins and it wasn't very successful.

I now want to put a rigid pipe from the waste tank, using a right angled elbow joint and bring it to the edge of the motorhome. I would also like to put a waste tap on the end of the pipe, but this is where my problem is. The connector from the tank is 40mm, so I can use 40mm pipe and elbow, but the taps are 28mm so I need a 40mm to 28mm pipe reducer and I can't find anything online. I have posted pictures of the tank connector and the type of tap I want. Can anyone help, or suggest another way of doing it? Many thanks.

Why not just buy a bigger tap.
There was a post on here some while ago about using irrigation taps which I thought were inexpensive.

Didn't know you could get bigger taps. Thanks.

Do you think this would work? 40mm pvc ball valve.

Ah, that's the threaded one, there are some without threads.

Half that price in toolstation for solvent weld

As you are rebuilding the pipework well worth fitting an electric valve.
We have an electric valve in our current van and I fitted a service camera (camera pointing at the waste outlet). I can drive over the service point line up exactly with the grating and dump the waste without moving from the driver's seat.

That sounds much too complicated for my limited skills. I'll just stick to the plastic pipe, purchased today from B&Q, together with connector and 90°angle. Still don't know how I'm going to support it, but will find out on Saturday when I get underneath lol. Have found a suitable tap/valve but only available from China. However, it''s not imperative that I have that straight away so may order one for fitting later.

PS - I have a husband that does the same as your camera .

Support it with something like this:

https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-push-fit-pipe-clips-white-40mm-10-pack/18926

or if there is a distance from the fixing point to the pipe then munsen rings:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rubber-L...plate-Pipe-Hanger-Clamp-Bracket-/153000727776

select 35-43mm rings with a M10 backplate. You can then shorten or lengthen the M10 rod between the backplate and the ring.
The pipe clips certainly won't work and I think the pipe will be too low for the Munsen ring although that looks ideal. However I don't want to start drilling into the chassis

@Deanobeano, I've just had a look at munsen rings and see that there are three parts to them - the ring, threaded rod and mounting plate. If the mounting plate can be fixed to the underside of the motor home with Sikaflex, I can then use the appropriate length of threaded rod to reach the pipe. That may just work :).

We looked at the 2018 Pilote's and noticed the waste tank outlet was right next to the entrance step, guess it stops dribblers on site lol, but if you extend the step if its not got automatic retraction it should make lining up with the drain easy.

I might fit one of those to record the pretty patterns we make on the road while driving (y)
Although our valve switch is in the garage (n)
Not much point in having an electric one if it's in the garage, ours is by the dash.:)

Can I ask if you fitted this and did it work okay ?
