Has anyone any clues/suggestions please why the electric rear raise lower doublebed on a Hymer BML should suddenly stop working at 2.5 years old?

All fuses checked and ok, but no English elektroblok manual only German provided! Not sure why 2 are missing but have always been missing!

You do need to remove to properly check, I once used a multi meter set on continuity , didn’t pick up a blown fuse till pulled out, wasn’t visually obvious even when removed

taken them all out one by one. No evidence of any blown, changed the hubbert one 20 amp twice no change. Think there may be a short somewhere. as some strange things happen when the main control switch for power is off, like a residual momentary charge with lights briefly flickering, when lights are turned on and main switch is off. Very strange.

Bump is to bump your thread back onto the front page, so that others might see it! Lots of people only read What’s New!

I am not very technical , but I would be looking to see if there is power at the motor , if there is and it’s not working that is the most likely problem

Yes thanks, wish I could find the motor!
Doesn’t even mention it in the user manual!

I would think it must be attached to the bed , but I guess if you can’t move the bed it’s going to be hard to find let alone get at 🤔

Edit - just googled the model, can you access under the bed from the garage or dies the mattress lift for access?

Thanks,
Yes I can remove the mattress but as it’s got a topper on and my wife has just made the bed up complete with millions of pointless cushions it may be dangerous for me!🤣
Can’t seem to get to the motor from the garage and it must have a mechanical wind somewhere, there is a stainless steel box screwed to the underside but looks like a pozi or torx series of screws, I’ll try those. The motor seems to run a series of seat belt type straps to raise and lower! They are tensed up quite tight!

Have you owned it from new? Is 2.5 years still under warranty ? Either way you might need a Hymer dealer 🤔🙁

Thanks
Warranty expired in October
Supplying dealer (Erwin Hymer Centre) charges £110 an hour plus VAT plus parts at ridiculous prices hence trying to resolve it myself!
