Lots of extras. 1 owner. Cambelt not done . Serviced regularly and MOT just done. Not sure about tyres til we have a look at it and ask more questions.

Just would like advice from Funsters as to whether it is overpriced. Can't find any on ebay to compare.

Obviously we would be going over it and checking everything. It's just a guide price we are after.

In 2012 cost new was about £50.000.
Seems Fair . But Cam belt & tyres You could be looking £1200 .+++
Dont forget if the extra's were fitted from new they will be 12years old now.
So if its gaslow or other might also need replacing.

We had a 2012 Elddis Aspire 255, be careful of the payload and get a though damp test, we used ours a lot, when not in use kept in a well ventilated garage at the bottom of our garden when we came to trade it inti was riddled with damp. Other than that plenty of storage and trouble free for 7 years.

UPDATE. So we went to see this van yesterday. The chap selling it is someone we know and have no reason to doubt his honesty. We had a good look around it. The internal is in very good, clean condition and everything works as it should with no obvious scratches or wear on the furniture or seats. Externally he pointed out some slight areas on the bonnet where the paint is peeling off. He is going to get the bonnet resprayed anyway before he sells it. We asked about the cambelt and he said that he would also have this replaced. However, someone on here mentioned it should have a chain not a belt. We have spent ages trying to confirm if this is the case but can only find conflicting information. Some says it would be chain and others a belt. He doesn't know and assumes it would be a belt. He is willing to accept £30k once this has been done. The only other concern which he told us about is that when he bought it 4 years ago, the dealer told him it had had 2 previous owners, but when he got the paperwork back from the DVLA it showed 7!! He told us that he was dismayed but by that point had already got the van so decided not to complain as it was the one his wife had set her heart on. He also said he couldn't work out how this could be as the previous owner had had it for 3 years. which would mean 6 changes of owner in 5 years and wondered if there was a way of tracing back through the DVLA to check if it was correct. Since he purchased it the van has been serviced regularly, and he has not had any issues with it. We do like the van and are weighing up whether to buy it - our main concerns are that a. it is quite a bit wider and longer than our current van, and b. if and when we wanted to sell would we have a problem because of the number of previous owners. Any advice welcomed. Thanks

Walk away! Why so many owners? I would guestimate that each one having issues, fixed them and sold on, next owner different problems! As each owner passed on problem sorted, new owner differing problem(s). There are more and more appearing on the market if you are not desperate wait until after the school holidays are over and even more will be on the market. He obviously doesn't know the vans full history.

Any decent garage will tell you which it is in less than 1 minute.

Needs checking out as that would set alarm bells ringing for me. Why would 5 owners offload it after a few months of use?

The present owner will have the log book, with this you can see where the van was mot at on previous tests, ask him to check did it move around the country, we moved twice and when we told DVLA the log book with the new address showed an extra keep (us) not the usual I know a bloke but good friends of our who were boating people saw what we did and went with ours and thought we will buy one, they were not short of a bob or two. Bought one sold it three weeks later as they found it cramped after the boat bought a bigger one kept that two months sold it went back to boating so two vans extra owners

I think also if the Van has had a Private reg applied to it & the Dealer or whoever has it put back to the original Reg they go down as a new owner. So if this happens a couple of times the number of owners will go up.
