Thinking of buying an Eldis 285 does anyone own one and can give me an honest opinion please as need to downsize to 3500 kg thanks

Check for damp!!
Is it ‘solid’ construction…….?

(a ‘damp’ 155 ex-owner….☹️)

All along the back wall, behind the fixed bed and bathroom (we only ever used the loo in the ’van’, never the shower……. Katies-travels

No more than any other - but their ‘SOLID’ construction still uses softwood, I believe…..

It's 7.4m long with a small payload, you will never be able to run that at 3500 kg.
You need to be looking at vans under 7m.

Elddis must have known there was a problem, as they replaced all the side skirts on our van whilst the damp issue was being sorted at Marquis - Elddis called it ‘an upgrade’……

That's tight, even with two people. You'll probably have to travel with minimal water. Any motorhome at 7.5m is going to struggle at 3500Kg
