Hi all, I am aware it is not just the above manufacturer who are seeing delays, however I have had mine on order for 12 months and its been pushed back another 4 months. With Elddis / Hymer not giving any solid dates or information, all the retailer gets is a report with a 3 month time range on it.

Has anyone got any information of how to get the expected build time from Elddis? I keep getting stock email template replies saying 'we are working as fast as we can' it seems crazy there can be no more information, clearly the time range is based off one metric at least.

I am running out of ideas quickly and it seems like the dangling carrot which will never be delivered and close to terminating and chossing other options

We ordered a Roller Team last December with a delivery of September/October. We could easily workout this was not achievable over the last few months , so asked the dealer for any information but they kept saying they where waiting for a visit from the Roller Team rep

Anyway at the recent Shepton Mallet show spoke to a dealer and he told us that he had been allocated 25% of his order and no deliverys before March/April next year at the earliest and no promised price, in that if the price increases then that is what you pay.

Therefore while there found a new Auto-Trail F48 demo which we liked and managed to talk the dealer into selling it to us. We pick it up November due to us going to France/Spain for 7 weeks from next Saturday

We got back our deposit on the Roller Team , to be fair they where not care as I'm sure they would move the order onto someone else

If Fiat are having supply issues, it is obvious that the problems will roll down to converters, then dealers and eventually customers. Fiat are working on their core business supplying vans, as motorhome chassis cabs/chassis cowls are are a small part of the yearly sales and need a limited production run. 25% of orders is hopeful but will leave 75% of motorhome orders cancelled. Even going with another converter will still leave the same problem and you join the queue at the back of the line again

Mercedes don't appear to have the same problems, at Caravan Salon Hymer were quoting March/April for Mercs & November for Fiat.
Hymer appear to be gradually changing over to Mercs, only two A Class vans on a Fiat all the other A Class on a Merc.

Thank you that is good information, I have confirmation in writing the price will remain as ordered. Yeah the familiar visit from a rep who seems to have no information, my van is a campervan and not a motorhome so the chassis is still technically simply a ducato commercial van.

Its frankly madness that FIAT got themselves in such a mess, and the downfall to everyone else in the supply chain just seems to get worse as time goes by.

Enjoy your van and France!

Hi - we ordered a Elddis Chatsworth 185 (dealer special Autoquest) at the NEC in February with a delivery date of around Sept/Oct. We are also struggling to get any further information after an update around 8 weeks ago that the build complete date was 20 September - today! Elddis suggested that a chassis number had been allocated when I spoke to them on the 12 September but couldn't give an indication on completion/delivery date. Glossop arent being particularly communicative so I’m beginning to fear our date May start to slip as well. This van will be part of Glossop’s allocation of agreed 2022 dealer specials so who knows this may change the position slightly.

Hi, did you receive your MH? Has anyone got any news for 2023 deliveries? We have been waiting since February 2022 and latest is possible start build March 28 2023 but not holding my breath! I would be grateful for any current updates others might have.

Hi yes it arrived with Glossop early October then delivery to us was delayed due to DVLA registering the vehicle. So all in all only 6 weeks later than proposed date when ordering in Feb 22. I think it being a dealer special agreed preordered supply with Elddis helped the situatio. When we collected ours they had received another 20 dealer specials within a couple of weeks
