Hi Folks,

I have a no ew to me 2014 Elddis and when i lock the door with the lock button, within a minute the alarm goes iff and i have to deactivate the alarm.

Ive changed the battery in the alarm fob but it still does it.

Any ideas on what the problem could be would be great.

Thank you

Hi there and welcome 🤗

It sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm do you know the make and model of it.

Then someone may be able to help.

It is a factory fitted alarm.

The company I got it from came back today and couldn’t fix it. They are going to get someone out to look at it.

I’ve got an elddis 2016 and the factory fitted alarm is Autowatch
Do you have 2 remotes? Try both

Is there a PIR Infra-Red Sensor on the ceiling?

If so, change the battery in it.

When you lock and activate the alarm press button twice. This will deactivate the internal sensor, if it doesn’t go off then it’s the internal sensor
Also check the bonnet switch, this presses on the hood sound deadening and sometimes digs in so doesn’t switch off alarm. If depression in sound deadening glue disc(coin) on underside to stop plunger digging in
To prove it’s this tape the plunger on crossbeam down with tape first

The Autowatch system has a bonnet and hab door contact
Normally if they are not working correctly they make a different sound when set on

Another thought check the wire to the habitation door. It has a proximity sensor on the lower left hand side, these fail also the wire into the door can break due to the door opening and closing all the time work hardening the wires

Something is not closing the circuit, so one of the sensors is not activating.

Usually with the Autowatch if it's the Bonnet Switch not closing properly or anything else you get 2 Bleeps when Armed telling you something not Closed.
