Just Looking
Hi, I am completely new to motorhomes and my partner and I are thinking about diving in and buying an Elldis 115. Could anyone with prior knowledge let us know what we should look out for when buying a 2018 model and what the difference is between the Majestic and the Evolution. Thanks in advance. M

I don't know that vehicle. Opinions vary but when anyone asks me that sort of question I always advise doing what we did - buy something else super-cheap but resellable & use for a season or so to be (reasonably) sure of two things before spending squillions. ie:
1 are you really going to get and enjoy the use of a motorhome or campervan and
2 what layout & other 'features' really suit you and matter to you and the use to which you will put the vehicle.
Good luck.

The Majestic and Evolution are specials made for different dealers. Evolution is made for Brownhills and I guess Majestic is made for Majestic. They tend to have additional features and upgraded trim etc over the standard model.

ps. I just had a look at an Autoquest 115 & see it has pretty much the same features and similar layout concept to our Murvi Morello but in a much bigger (ie. harder to drive and park) vehicle.
Won't be swapping with you if you do get the Elldis!!

Unfortunetly I recently compared an Elddis with my 2019 Burstner because it was basically the same layout but more than £12,000 cheaper.
It only took me five minutes to realise why mine was worth the extra money.
You need to check out a few different makes to realise which have the quality of construction.

I've got a 115 special edition. I think it's good, some people on this forum only rate foreign vans. I don't know what the differences between the various special editions are, but mine arrived fully equipped, the only thing I would have liked is an outside step. It's quite high, especially for Mrs Dorwyn who is a diddy. But lovely, I should add. Phew, think I got out of that one! Pm me if you want more info.

Just check around the walls at the floor levels for damp and around the wall to roof junctions. Take a good torch and check all the cupboards and under bed locker areas.
If you are the second potential owner there should be 2 years left on the 6 year second owner warranty. ( depends on first registration of course)Just make sure all the hab checks have been completed on time and you have the receipts etc.
Will the dealer your buying it off undertake any warranty repairs?. What warranty is the dealer offering you?

There's the thing. It's not bigger, it's shorter but wider, so appears bigger inside.

Appears bigger but doesn't facilitate you doing anything you couldn't do in a smaller 'van but does prevent you going to a lot of places where a bigger one can't get!!
