The new Entry/Exit System (EES) is expected to come into effect later this year after delays.

Exactly. All those ports will all need to be equipped and connected up to the system.

There will be a lot of border guards very happy to see this in place.

I'm thinking of the ones who sit after the electronic gates and do nothing but stamp the passports of the exiting Brits!

Hopefully they bring it in before my passport is filled up with stamps, it's getting ridiculous now with trying to find the inbound stamp to match it up for the exit stamp!
