ECU

I have twice now had to have my ECU reset due to Airbage fault ? Report states fault caused by high or low voltage . Had new battery fitted , fault appeared again .
Not sure what else to consider .
Plus my EC450 has a facility (see attachment ) but I do not understand its purpose , it allows adjustments to be made to vehicle batt ,liesure batt , amps . What are the recommended settings ?
Any help would be appreciated, w

I tend to wait until most of the dashboard lights have gone out before trying to start the engine. Giving the ECU and voltage time to settle.
Give that a try?

i was specifically told to do that as otherwise it was quite possible to scramble the ecu

It was suggested to me by the guy who owns Crash Data. It seemed like a good Idea.

This is not a rare problem.
In addition to above i would also ensure the sb is routinely charged..
Mine is trickle charged by solar and votronics controller.
Keep battery maintenance up including electrolyte levels

ECU failures

There seems to be a continual flood/ trickle of threads relating to ECU being killed that appear to be by low voltages. I have my SB on trickle charge from my Votronics solar charger. Registered in 18 but manufactered in NOV 16 , is SB now 5 years old. HOW MUCH OF A problem is it 5% of...

If your van is less than 5 years old i would complain to fiat (don't expect anything but try , even ask for advice on how to avoid this in future) two failures is 2 too many.
