ECU? Reset (2004 Pilote Galaxy 270) .
After replacing the starter battery : (today 18 March 2021)
Inserting key and turning to (any) position had absolutely (NO) effect.
I removed negative connections from battery negative post and laid safely aside. (always negative first ).
I disconnected positive cable ( c/w connection plate ) from the positive post.
I connected a jump lead across the disconnected battery +/- leads and left them to dissipate any electrical charge in the internal circuitry and left connected for 15 mins. (note leads are kept clear of battery terminals throughout ).
All battery leads were reconnected in opposite sequence. Key was inserted and turned to first position. Ignition lights came on in normal sequencing.
The keys was not turned further but left for 15 mins to settle down any internal ecu processing.
Key was eventually turned to ignition _- (on/ start) - position, whereupon the engine ( started immediately ).
I found this tip on the web. It worked for me but it is posted without prejudice and or acceptance of any liability --- Sorry !
