eBay madness

I know that now but at the time they where just another bike , yes an expensive one but they where only as fast as the blades and the 750 Suzuki I rode around with and yes I had more money than sense ? if I had my time again I would have kept them and probably have a N&B motorhome now . The Sp1 and sp2 where worth every penny by the way .
Yes if both you and I had saved all the money we have spent on bikes we could have bought Robert Clark N&B?? Damn!!:doh:

And if I'd chipped in what I've spent, we could have bought Norton between us!

(in case you didn't know, the remains of the Norton company has been bought from the administrators for 16 million)

Thought you just meant a “Manx”??

I have decided life is to short not to have a bike in my garage so have been looking on eBay for a secondhand bmw gs but these 2 have popped up , I don’t understand the bidding it’s gone mad just look at the prices . Is this a scam and people have realised this and are just bidding for a laugh to wind the scammer up? .View attachment 380087
I had exactly the same bike stolen last November when it was advertised on Ebay

Buy on ukGSer.com rather than Ebay.

Plus 1 for ukGSer. Always bikes for sale (though not quite so many at the moment) and generally from people who are enthusiasts so well looked after.
If there is something wrong with it someone will tell you, its that kind of forum (and an acquired taste ). It's also a great resource for finding parts, kit and general advice on all things BMW and more.

Just joined ukGser thought it might be free but no such luck ,£12 to look at the for sale bikes . There are not many on at the moment but no panic can’t do any thing to after the lock down is lifted .

Probably best if you are broad minded, very little in the way of admin control and we like it that way. Some say the site’s best days are in the past, but there is still a membership of over 20k, with some really clever and interesting characters in the mix. I hope you enjoy your time there. (y)

I think life's to short to ride BMWs - get yourself a proper motorbike?
Cos part of being a biker is ragging everyone about whatever bike they have - it's just the way it is - no harm is meant

Just for consistency: I think life's to short to ride Ducatis - get yourself a proper motorbike?

PS I hope you have loads of fun with your new toy

The best part of buying a Ducati is that I think you can probably ride it during the lockdown, as there is a fair chance it will break down whilst you are out and you will have to push it home, = essential exercise. ;)
A bit harsh ???

I had to recover a Ducati like that to a dealers. The only stand was a paddock stand in the owners garage. When I got to the dealers they were shut ,1630 on a Friday. I couldn’t leave the bike leant against the wall plus it would be a pain to get off my trailer on my own.
I had to take it back 50 miles to a very angry owner. The dealers had not told him they closed early on a Friday.
I recovered it to another dealers 30 miles in the opposite direction on the Saturday morning. Not being a biker I found bikes hard to handle being very cautious of damaging them.
