Hello Everyone

We are arranging a Easter Weekend Meet at Cottington Lakes, Sholden, Deal, Kent

We went here last Easter and had a scorching hot weekend.

There are several large fishing lakes with good fishing, and a tackle shop. Also the seaside town of Deal is within cycling distance, with lovely fish and chip shops.

There is on 1 male and 1 female shower and toilet and are quite basic.

I have provisionally booked 8 EHU plots at £12.00 each, please ring the site direct and book under my name Mrs P Hay and give them your name. There will be no one to take calls 4th January -22nd February. However you can send me a pm to log your interest.

You can always make in Friday night and leave Sunday afternoon, just like a normal weekend.

Thanks for sorting this one out again Pat, I just rang and booked so one of your Hay pitches is now a Hewitt. I did wonder though if you were going down on the Thursday, I am sure you did last year and we might be inclined to do the same :Smile: We left there on the Tuesday too, just to miss the traffic and because it was such lovely weather. Yes we will probably go down there on the Thursday too.

I will book the Thursday for us, it will great to miss the traffic, I think though you have to get there before 7pm as the gate is locked, so if you are going maybe you can arrange a token for us.

Hi Pat thanks for the welcome and can you tell me do you need license to fish private lakes also there is another way on to site when gate locked but probably shouldnt say that . Know the area well .Ray

Yes you do need a license, I think they sell them in the tackle shop on site, I have bought one there in the past. But you can also buy them at the post office or on the internet.

As far as I am aware there is only one way onto the site, however if we are there from the Thursday we can ensure that you have a token to get in after 7pm.

We will be ringing them tomorrow and booking. :Smile: We will probably go for the Thursday night too. I'm sure we will be there in good time to ensure that we have tokens for any late arrivals.

Well Sonja havent been fishing for nearly 50 years so guess I will have be a bit devious then.Does Pat like a drink or two perhaps or will I have to charm the fish instead ?

Have decided to book as cannot wait for work roster as will not know until March.

Have booked under your the "Hay" banner in our name Russell for 4 nights from Thurs leaving on the Monday but will probably not arrive until late thurs so hope someone can let us in !

Cor we are nearly full up, we can always expand and book more spaces, so dont be shy come and have some fun.

Last year we had a heatwave, so we maybe lucky again, if not we will bring our own sort of sunshine.
