E10 Fuel Fighter by Putoline

E10 Fuel Fighter is a powerful fuel additive. Specifically developed to protect the fuel system against the harmful effects of E10 fuels, which contain 10% bio-ethanol. E10 Fuel Fighter compensates for the adverse effects and prevents engine damage. The product has the following properties:
  • Protects the fuel system against corrosion
  • Improves the lubricating properties
  • Reduces internal friction in the engine
  • Reduces fuel consumption
  • Cleans injectors and valves: ensures optimum combustion.

Part No AI2852 RRP £13.63

I been using Frost Ethomix for a few years now, never have any problems starting, though I never buy E10 fuel just keep with E5.

I imagine a lot of people will say it’s snake oil similar to a lot of the other oil additives?
Proly.. just shows how many folk simply aint got a clue ! :-)

I use Briggs & Stratton Fuel Fit which is meant to keep the fuel fresh for 3 years in any of the engines I don't use regularly

Sorry for being thick, what's the "i" for Jaws

Sorry I'm away at the moment and only have a tablet without a mouse. If I click on the " i" it only shows the word information

Maybe not related to E10 but since we have been running our Polo on E10 the fuel pump sounded noisy recently failing. The car has done 80,000 + but the various web sites said it was compatible to E10.

It actually says ‘informative’ which is the way it should be read if you thought the post gave good information 😊

Certain rubbers and plastics can break down with higher ethanol fuels. But any vehicle built in the past 20 years would have avoided those materials because high ethanol petrol has been used in a of countries around the world for a long time.

Also, for those vehicles that do have susceptible bits of their fuel system, is there any evidence that this stuff actually makes a difference? I note that it doesn't say it inhibits the attack on plastics and rubber?

I used to put posh petrol in Bertie<<<<<now i only put cheap stuff in. I have some stuff to mix in if i am forced to put that damaging stuff in to make it ok.

If it's the ethanol that attacks seals I can't see how anything as a very low concentration additive could make much difference.

Cataclean do lots of products to help this as well.

Interesting. I wonder how it removes or neutralises the ethanol…….
