E-Sim providers

I've a dual sim phone, that's getting knackered; most new phones seem to be 1 physical sim slot + 1 e-sim
I live in Spain with Spanish sim + Lebara sim to keep my cherished UK phone number active.
Neither of my service providers does e-sims yet.

Anyone use a cheap (<£10/pcm, 20Gb data) UK e-sim deal that can be recommended ?
It's easier for me to change my UK sim (due to limited language skills), but I could do with knowing how e-sims are initialised. For a physical sim someone in the UK does it & then posts it to us. Do UK e-sims have to be initialised in the UK ?

Don’t touch Lyca for roaming - however much they say you’ve got, they just wing it & cut you off for no reason! Which is how I know you can activate an esim in Spain! We used these
