DVLA naughty boys again DVLA my vehicles are sorned but Still getting DDs

Due to my serious health issues all my vehicles are currently on Sorn since Beginning of February and the motorcycles since November ,, But today i realised that the DVLA has been taking Road TAX Direct debits for the 2 motorcycles , and the Car and Motorhome .. I tried calling them and they agreed I am correct so They owe me at least £170 but say I have to get the bank HSBC to sort it out ,,, WTF

Money went out again on 1st of March ????

If they are DDs it is down to DVLA to stop, but are you sure they are not Standing Orders, which would be down to you to cancel with the bank.

As above….cancel your payment to dvla…claim back via the bank if needed but they should return funds if the proof is there.

They won’t be S/Os, the DVLA don’t accept them
Apparently if a payment is made in error, your bank has to make an “idemnity claim”, even if the payment was wrongly demanded

As if you don't have enough going on in your life.

It will be your bank that has to claim the money back from DVLA but the bank should do an immediate refund.

You can also raise the issue with your MP and ask him/her to take it up on your behalf stressing your ill health and the extra stress this is causing.
