DVLA im giving up getting C1 back

Despite ombudsman ruling in my favour a few weeks ago DVLA are still hopeless ,, my missing grandfathered C1 was removed from my Licence when I moved address , this saga has been going on for over 8 months .

Today i got a letter from DVLA ,, hooray I thought its my C1........er NOPE

they have sent me an application form D2 for bus ,lorry or minibus ,, and also a D4 medical application , WTF !!!!!!!!??????

So I rang them up and was messed around for over an hour , they are clueless ,they dont seem to know what a C1 is ????, spoke to a supervisor , mentioned the ombudsmans ruling , and letters which they seem to have on file ...
But same old bullshit confusion and result ... NOTHING

Now I dont actually need a C1 im 66 not in best health and will never want a bigger Motorhome if anything next one will be smaller .
Im a fighter and its the he principal,,, but now I am actually giving up as I have too many problems especially my health and I dont need to waste energy on futile idiots .

Have you tried your MP? Sometimes they can cut through the c*** It would seem a shame to give up now, although I understand where you are coming from.

Have a couple of licences that "went missing" and then turned up again which prove I have various entitlements when I send off for renewals in the future.

I think that backed by the Ombudsman ruling your MP would be very likely to take action - they do not like obstructive Civil Servants.

yesbut that was old Tory MP and then ombudsman ,I have forwarded this to out new LD MP she is a tiger so maybe she will geta grip on it.. TBH DVLA are totally disfuntional and I have more important worries in my life now , serious health issues , pregnant daughter , and my recent ADHD diagnosis etc so i just want to reduce stress , and this particular fight is not a priority as my ADRIA does not need a C1

If you dont need your c1id give up the fight,because stress is such a killer, if you have other things going on in your life,then pick your battles wisely,id write one letter to dvla telling them what youve done(put it all down on paper) threaten going to your mp, then lay it to rest and get on with looking after your health and future grandchild.
