DVLA changing vehicle tax after up plating

Hi all I’ve gone through the process of up plating motorhome,now looking to change vehicle tax but hit a snag.

I currently pay vehicle tax by direct debit but the application form I have been sent a C70 states cannot be used if paid by direct debit.

It says under highlighted text about V85 form does this mean I have to tax vehicle again from date of up plate and if so will the nice people at the dvla take into account the road tax I’ve paid already and adjust the payments like wise.

Hope this makes sense and thanks for any input.

Cancel your direct debit send the form off if any refund DLVA should send it then just set it up again before its due.

At register of new weight DVLA will retax at the new rate.... Presumably over 3500kg so £165......and automatically refund unused FULL months of the old road tax.
Also, cancel the DD.
