I ve just scan read this,
It appears far better to download the app, there are some issues over Swift banking system which needs some understanding, sometimes it doesnt work, however if all works and you were buying the stuff anyway, you could get back 16-17 euros on a 100 euro purchase.

Money for old rope scenario but probably not for me, but might good enough for some so interested if anyone has been succesful with it rather than reviews from customers I dont know about

Has anyone else found that Duty Free prices are often more expensive than supermarket prices in France / Spain? My observations are on wine less than £8/bottle and beer.

Yup been 4 ltrs per person for some time.

Just been to Ireland. 2 litres of spirits going and 4 coming back. Bacardi was 2 for £20 and Gin 2 for £22. I have a roof box

On the ferry to Holland it was 2 bottles of barefoot wine for 11 euros more than it would cost in a French supermarket. It could be cheaper for spirits but we don't really drink them.
We stocked up on wine on the 25% off offer at Sainsbury's last month much wider choice cheaper and only a couple of miles to get it home.

Worth checking the prices onboard vs supermarket.

Looked at spirits on Irish ferries recently and nothing you couldn’t get in a French hypermarket and more expensive.

Totally agree the wine in the duty free is average at best in the ad posted it looks like yellow tail why would you want a load all the same?

Just back from supermarket, Jumbo in Netherlands , a lot cheaper getting the duty free , heading into Germany next we will see

Yep a lot cheaper in Germany, but in Luxemburg now and expensive. Feel out of place not having a Porsche

Wife stocked up yesterday in Carrefour Cite Europe, 24 fizz and a few still.
I sat in the van till I got a message "I am lost" I had to go and find her

Like I said not just YellowTail , they couldn’t photograph everything on offer……in any case , I got a case of Heineken a lot cheaper than you get in the Dutch supermarkets.
