So Fabio has been given a long lap penalty at Silverstone for his coming together with Aleix.
This is the pinnacle of motorcycle racing not a knitting contest. Should Moto GP bikes be fitted with mirrors and indicators? Should mirror, signal manoeuvre be made compulsory? What is this sport coming to?

Hardly surprising he has been given a penalty considering his lunge into Aleix Espargaró who then went on to come a remarkable fourth.

What is this sport coming to! It’s exciting enough without the need to ride like Fabio did, having said that if he had got away with it he would probably be being haled a genius. You can’t do right for doing wrong in this Sport, but what a wonderful sport we have to watch.

But not consistent. Nakagami has had a couple of coming together with other riders both of which seemed to be down to him IMHO but these were put down as racing incidents

Thin end of the wedge……..f1 here we come 😪

He pushed his luck & it didn’t pay off on this occasion. Simple.
He even walked up to Aprillia and apologised.
He knew there would be penalty coming his way.

I like Fabio, but it was reckless. All mirrors would have done is allow Aleix see the collision coming

How about Rossi/Gibernau at Jerez. Rossi/Stoner at Laguna Seca. Mark Marquez too many to mention. Its racing let them race or we end up with a sterile immitation just like F1.
