I saw in some continental service stations there were areas for motorhome dumping. Does such things exist in the UK?
If not how do people empty grey and black water if wild camping or using britstops?

There is a very broad spectrum of views on this subject within FUN so any answers you get will differ widely.
Regarding black waste, this must go into a sewerage system of some description such as a toilet or chemical disposal point if you use chemicals. The simplest answer is to do it responsibly. If any toilets lead to a septic tank they will not want you emptying any chemicals such as formaldahyde etc down there.
I think the caravan & camping club will let you you use the facilities for a small fee. Some MH's use public toilets. I have even hear of cassettes being carried into say, supermarket toilets in shopping bags. Some advocate digging a deep hole away from watercourses and burying it. Some tip it behind hedges etc. So the answer is ... whatever you feel comfortable doing but be prepared for someone saying you shouldn't be doing it!!
Regarding grey, Camping and Caravan club, on their Temporary Holiday Sites, tell you to empty it behind a hedge, others just open their taps when they drive away adopting the "sharing" theme! Others dump it down rainwater gutters.
If you want to see the range of 'discussions' on FUN, use the search facility for Grey Waste, sit down, order the popcorn and have your eyes opened!

:Grin:I think a black tank (no chemicals ) is much better than a cassette with chemicals...IMO. But I'm sure other funsters may think differently
