Ducato thule omnistep buzzer stopped working

As per the thread title, the extended step warning buzzer on our ducato PVC has stopped buzzing.
Googleing suggests either a corroded earth or a sticky switch, but access looks tricky and nothing is obviously aray.

Any thoughts, tips or suggestions on what to do to remedy?

How easy is it to remove the step?I've downloaded the installation booklet.

That would be the easiest solution.
I will try that first.
Is it just a piezo speaker next to the EBL?

I had the same problem last week and it was due to the waterproof rubber dome on the switch being split due to wear & tear.

The switch is mounted on the step motor cover. I couldn't find a replacement dome so bought a complete switch & just changed the domes over.

OK, it seems to be the microswitch is stuck closed.
Any ideas where to get a replacement cheaply? The microswitch p/n U831611 shows a reasonably commonthe microswitch part, but without the black piston.
I can't easily remove the black piston from the original.

They were the only obvious supplier i came up with too.

All sorted now and the buzzer is back working after fitting the new switch
