Any one else noticed that the floor between the Ducati cab seats seems to flex a lot when stood on and quite cold on a cold morning . Wondering if it’s worth investigating or not

My engine battery is under a plastic cover, under a padded bit of flooring. There’s also a metal cover directly over the battery. This is between my driver and passenger seats.

It seems to be intentional. Doesn’t stop it being a worry for a section of floor that probably gets more action than any other!!

Absolute beginners.

Generally, for the Fiat chassis in it's work version, there would be a bench seat, and a bulkhead, so not a vulnerable floor area. Converters haven't seen it as a problem, for their own reasons of economy.

Same, the mat indicates that there is an inspection panel under it!

I've never investigated as it has Ross, the mechanic's, name on. 😀

A stiff sheet of plastic cut to fit takes most of the spongyness away

Mines the same ..Peugeot boxer based Mhome. It's where the access panel to the top of the fuel tank is. They are all like that unless you put a hard cover over it.
There is a circular softish rubber cover with a gap between the top of the tank and the cover which is exposed to fresh air.We have a carpet over ours so not noticed it being cold.

Just checked ours and it's really solid compared to other Carthago's I've been in. I recently fititted a cab carpet can hardly detect any movement.

Probably because since you've bought the Carthago you aren't eating out as much whilst on holiday so have lost weight!

Suffering at the moment 11 days into our trip and not eaten out yet.
Now we are Spain and been traveling during the day, need food and won't survive until the restaurants open at 9pm.
Was going to eat out tonight as nice and warm here in the 30's but 'er indoors said we are going to have throw that veg away we bought so I'm stuffed tonight.
