Trying to remove passenger seat to get at batteries in a Fiat CHAUSSON 628eb 17 plate. Have removed two torque nuts off the front and two nuts off the back. There are two wires that I assume is passenger air bag. How do you unclip these and are there any more fastenings before I can pull the seat out?
Your help is very much appreciated

When they replaced our battery with a lithium one under the passenger seat, Fiat Ducato, they said getting the seat out was a pain!

I don't know how to share this but look for this really helpful post:

The article regarding X290 seat removal , David BW has mentioned , can be found in Resources (bottom of this page) , Motorhome technical articles section , page one . There is also further information to be found on page two which could help.
Very helpful . Anderson block was on the outside passenger side just one cable to sort and it appears to be the grounding black cable that goes upwards into the seat .I have taken three screws out of the plastic panel at the bottom of the seat but the adjuster knob is stopping me access to the panel behind where I am hoping the grounding cable can be released. Any Funsters out there who might know how to release this panel so that the seat will be finally detached. Many thanks in advance.

Make sure you have some padded softening to lay on the floor for when you put the seat down after lifting it off the base, they can indent the floor easily, as I found out :Eeek:

That wouldn’t come out for me as it was trapped - I just cut it and put back together with a bullet connector to make it easy next time.

I'm sure ours came off just with a bit of jiggling around (driver's side).

Can I ask, should the black grounding cable be attached to the metalwork of the underseat? The first time I took out my seat the black ground cable was floating loose. To be clear, the ring terminal didn't have marks on it to suggest it had been every used.

Thanks in advance!

Definitely should connect. There should be a stud to fix it to as shown at stage 3 in the guide in the resources section.
