Just learned about possible injector failures on Ducato based MH’s (I’ll try linking the video on you tube). Apparently water can get under the plastic engine cover and cause the injector seats to rust leading to large repair bills. The video tells the tale. I just stumbled on in then checked mine. My MH is 3 years old this July and even at that age had a spot of light rust on the injectors. WD40 then CopaSlip spray hopefully sorted it but thought it’s worth checking your Ducati’s. Pics of mine attached.

It is a known fault and if you put it into the 'search' box top right of blue banner, you will find plenty of posts.

By the way, if that is 'ordinary' WD 40,on your rubber injector pipes in pics, I would clean it off. Rubber does not like WD40.

Few years now
Mine is in the dealers tomorrow to try & sort the scuttle leak. If i were you i would check if your scuttle is leaking and if so get it sorted rather than just spraying to top of the head.

Checked it and it seems dry. It was left in storage Nov/Dec last year when we were in Oz so I think not being used allowed it to build up🤞

Cleaned it off after a few mins then used the CopSlip. Gonna keep an eye on it and check for leaks elsewhere though😊👍
