Fiat Ducato. 2010 2.3. The control knob that selects the fan speed it seized solid on position 1. One day it was working, the next day seized! Any suggestions what may be seized and is it easy to repair/free up?

The knob is direct on the switch, so I would say the contacts, or the plastic around them has melted as fused them together. New switch time.

Thanks. I have a double din radio. If i remove this can i remove the switch from the rear? I assume the switch and knob come as a complete unit?
