Hi,
I understand that Ducato door locks have always been vulnerable to pricking attacks where a screwdriver is slid in under the lock, the mechanism is opened, and hence the thief gets into the van.
If a thief attacks a van in this way, does opening the drivers door lock automatically operate the central locking and hence allow all the doors to be opened from the outside, or is it just the drivers door lock that is opened ?
I assume that somebody on here will know and could enlighten me.
Thanks in advance.

I've never used my key in the drivers door to find out. However, regardless of which door(s) the attack opens, I deemed it worthwhile fitting a Proplate to defeat that specific attack. I know that if they want to get in then they will but perhaps it will make my van less attractive to a perp vs any other easier targets in the vicinity.

If your ducato has central locking and the keyfob has separate unlock buttons for front and rear doors. Forcing the drivers lock open through doorskin prick attack will also unlock the passenger cab.
Only method to prevent this is a door plate which covers the lock rod inside the door. The plate seen on outside of the door is mainly a visual detergent tbf.
You then need an aftermarket alarm fitting that is armed and disarmed separately to the door lock mechanism and fiat keyfob.
