Ducato, 2k miles and I need to top up AdBlu - normal?

It seems counterintuitive that the heaviest AdBlue consumption is on the motorway rather than in urban areas.

I know my own consumption averages about 220miles/litre in my 140hp 2019 Ducato PVC. So that equates to about 2.8 Litres/1000km. So about right. My warning light comes after about 2200 miles from a full tank.
Mine is exactly the same Fiat said normal!

My printer is ok with the ad blue, but is asking for ad black, no idea how many miles it has done.

2021 Ducato 160 PVC - I topped up the Adblue at about 1350 miles and have just now refilled it again at 2400 miles. I took just over 4 litres, which works out pretty close to the 220 miles per litre mentioned above. Not too unhappy with that as it's about 1p/mile if Adblue is £2/litre. Diesel consumption is averaging in the low 30s (maybe ~35 on a longer trip), so that works out at about 25p/mile.

cheers,

Robin
