Ducati For Sale - Light Damage

Tis already fitted with the Go-Faster Headstock, very aerodynamic.

He was lucky there ! Especially high side.
Nearly spat him into orbit. His back protection (and other armour) certainly earned its keep. Lucky man; that was a big crash. I High sided once. Never ever want to repeat it.

It's a really odd crash. What happened? Was he trying to slide the back in???

A high side isn't caused by a slide - it's when a wheel grabs the tarmac during a slide. If he was 'backing it' into the corner or applying power, or both, grip at the wrong moment would flip the bike.

I got that the back went out of line, and then suddenly gripped to high-side him, but you just don't see them like that anymore. Especially the rear tyre pogo'ing in before it bites.

I haven't seen a high-side like that since.... Lorenzo's first MotoGP season.

Have to agree, the light was most definitely damaged.......the rest of the bike doesn't look to bad all things considered:whistle::whistle::whistle:

High side's will always happen  Baldassarri 2017 was as bad as they come:(

In slow motion with the onboard camera, you heard the engine stop, then it spat him off.

I cannot help but be reminded of a group of people who entertained the masses a couple of thousand years ago...

Are todays riders yesterdays gladiators ?

How many of us would have that sort of smash, jump back on another bike and ring its neck again ?

Takes a special sort of bravery

50 years ago they were doing that and very few survived the crashes.

I did it for many, many years and lucky to come out without too many injuries.
