Try Lucas “SLICK MIST” spray on wet or dry vehicles it’s a fabulous easy product to use.
£12 per litre aerosol though, but worth twice that.

I had some bought for me as a present.
If the surface is just a bit dusty/ grimy a quick spray, leave for a few minutes to work but don’t let it dry, and it’s great.
If there is mud or grit present wash your vehicle the usual way or it may scratch.
I use it regularly on motorcycles.
