I want to replace my bed struts on my Hymer. I cn see how to remove one end of the strut but the other end I'm not sure about.
I think the black ball end has a ball joint, am I correct in thinking I undo the nut under it ? Or not ?
The other end I'm really not sure of how to get the pin out, or after undoing the black ball end it may unscrew leaving the shiny bit as it is ?
Anyone help appreciated thanks.

One end appears to be a clevis pin the other a clip over the top of the ball just open it and it pulls off then the ball joint pulls apart. The clip is like a C in shape

Thanks, the end you think is a clevis pin is a bit odd as when I feel at both ends of that pin it's flush, ie no split pin in it, and doesn't protrude for on either ? but I think it will unscrew from the strut body.

Either unscrew or possibly interference fit ? or maybe a pin or clip through the ctr of the pin and strut yoke ?

Flat screwdriver under here and lever up and pops off as it releases a ball bearing catch.

The other end on occasion just unscrew the main shaft and leave the fitting in place - helped me on a recent luggage door that was inaccessible at one end!

The clevis pin is held in by a spring clip, a bit like a terry clip. You can see the clip in your pic.
Push the clip off the shank, then the pin will will be free to push out.
It might be tight if the strut is still loaded (=danger). Undo the other end then it should be easy.

You may have to lower the strut to get room to push the clip off...
