Our water pump is dripping when on - not enough to flood the area, but enough to saturate a towel within a day or 2. It sounds quite complicated and expensive to attempt to strip down and replace seals, so I think replacement is probably the best bet - assuming that’s right it looks pretty simple eg presumably just unplug everything and re-plug in to like for like replacement. If it’s not that simple or if there’s anything I need to think about before attempting this would really appreciate any advice.

Thanks in advance!

Have you checked the filter on the left of your photo? We had a leak from our water pump and found that there was a small crack in the filter cover. Replaced it making sure the O ring was properly seated and problem solved.

Can you see exactly where the leak is from? Where it pools is not necessarily where the leak is. The brown duct below the filter looks darker than elsewhere, possibly damp?

Anyway, as you say, simply replacing the pump seems easy enough. Take photos of how everything is currently connected so you have a reference. Good luck. 👍

Thanks, haven’t really investigated in much detail re: exactly where it’s coming from, so will have a look at that. The brown tube is wet from being leaked on, it’s definitely coming from the pump. Thanks for the advice 👍

I don't know about your Aqua 8 pump, but our Shurflo Trail King 7 was only a few quid more than the repair kit, and much less hassle to install. (y)
