Hi there. We are thinking about downsizing from our coach built Burstner 744 rear lounge Moho to a van, probably 6.5m. We are going to the NEC show in February but looking on some advice about what brands we should be looking out for and which to avoid. Beyond HYMER and Malibu I’m not too sure where to start the search to get similar quality to what we have now with the Burstner. We don’t need massive off grid capability and are open minded about layout though rear lateral singles or drop down would be preferred. Price point is c£85k though that might mean a used van rather than a new one. This question is primarily about build quality and any thoughts are very welcome so thanks.

Take a look at Consort, Utubers ‘life is too short’ did a video on theirs and you will get an idea of the quality.

Love my Malibu on my 2nd once since downsizing from a 9m Burstner Elegance, never looked back.... wish I had made the move years ago fantastic vans, quality & well built and lovely to drive currently spending a few months in Morocco 🙂

I have absolutely no regrets about downsizing to a 6.4m Malibu Van. You might be ok getting a new one at £85k if you are happy to go with a 2024 model. Carthago/Malibu have discounted last years models to make room for the 2025 ones, for example this one.
I have been keeping an eye on this one because we originally specified and ordered it but it was so late arriving we bought one that someone else had cancelled.

That’s a nice looking van.
