We are thinking of downsizing from a swift bessecar 7.7 motorhome to a Benimar 201 6m mh. It has virtually everything ours as got but obviously more compact , we have found we just don’t need a big bathroom
And lounge . Has anyone else done this

Yes, downsized from A Pilote G740c A Class to a Chausson 530. Tons of living space thanks to the double bed dropping down from the ceiling. All the same facilities including separate shower and loo. Only thing missing is the large garage which once we culled a lot of stuff we didn't really need, everything fitted into the smaller boot on the Chausson.

At 5.96m we can fit almost anywhere, ferry costs are low😁 can park with ease and don't tow a toad anymore. We travel with a Husky GSD cross and still don't feel cramped.

Do I miss the A class, yes but currently I wouldn't swap the Chausson 530 for anything else.

Thanks for the reply , we have come to the conclusion that you don’t need all that space . If weather is good you spend more time outside especially if you are abroad ,

I just switched from a Benimar 202 6m to a 7m but for the garage space rather than the living space. The living space was actually a bit bigger in the 202 due to it having the drop down bed. If you get the 201 join the 2 Facebook groups, they are excellent for advice and tips. (y)

Have gone for 243 as we think that’s a better option
