hi,
i have a cheyenne autotrail it is 4250kg at the moment, does anyone know if i can get it down plated to 3500kg so that it can be driven on a license that has not got a c1 listing.

When we sold our Adria a few years back the new owners didn’t have a C1, to download it we had to get it weighed and send this with the V5 to DVLA. Back then it didn’t cost and was done with no issues within a few weeks.

Ours is 3850 at the mo.
If we try to sell it again next year i think i will have it downplated to 3500. I think it will open up the range of potential buyers.
Payload i wouldn't have a clue.

Has it ever been plated at 3500kg?

I would assume if it has it might be an easier exercise, I had mine up plated for 3500kg to 4250kg, I am 70 next year, if I cannot retain my C1 I will be attempting to do the same (I am hoping I will be ok with the C1 as I have no current health issues, but time will tell.

Personally I would very much doubt it.. Plated at 4250 it will have the Heavy Fiat chassis.
We had the apche 700 on that chassis. It was 3500kg empty !!!

Our old Autocruise coach-built started at 3850Kg, plated down to 3500Kg, then up to max (without air suspension) 3920Kg.
That was the Maxi chassis from Ducato.

Empty it of 'stuff' and take it to your local weighbridge.
If it's around the 3,000/3,200 kg area then you could probably downplate it.

If it's more like 3,300-3,400 kg then even if you could downplate it, the payload would not be enough for even a single person.
