Afternoon.. Just wanted to double check my planned install/changes before I purchase a load of expensive kit.

I plan to fit a Victron 50a B2b (Victron Energy Orion XS 12/12 50A) along with a Victron main charger (Blue smart IP22 12v 30a) and fit this in/around my current setup (picture attached). I'll also be installing a 300ah'ish Lithium battery.

To fit the b2b I plan to follow the instructions here (https://support.roamer.com/en/articles/1996290) as this is a near identical EBL unit and seems to make sense.

To fit the main charger I plan to leave the current hook up connected to the EBL but pull the fuse out so it can't charge the leisure battery. I then will attached the new charger to this side of the consumer unit and then to the leisure battery. I wanted to keep the current EBL connected so it can still trickle charge the starter battery as this is a feature that's useful.

Does this sound reasonable?

Any help/advice appreciated.

Or,fit some solar, [if not already fitted] with a dual battery MPPT controller 🤷‍♂️ .
Mike.

I've seen comments especially on the Victron forum that the Blue smart IP22 12v 30a runs quite hot, so the fan will be running unless you tell it to charge at lower amps/in night mode. Might be an annoying noise as the electrics are located under the Knaus bed.

Thanks for the replies. I do plan to also fit 2 230w panels at the same time so I know I'll need a mppt controller. Is there a combined one I can get that will do mains & solar? I thought they we're all separate items.

And if the mains charger is noisy, can anyone recommend a better model? Maximum of 30a as I want to keep my current wiring in place.

I've just spotted the MultiPlus 800/35 which might be a better buy as it's a mains charger and also an inverter (which I'd like). I bet this can be noisy though?
