CBE don't even make a double socket. All their sockets are singles joint together under a double cover.Do CBE make a double wall socket with double USB ?
I can find domestic double sockets with double USB but can only find CBE sockets without USB.
Do CBE do a treble cover so I could fit what's in your link plus a second socket therefore giving me 2 x 13 amp sockets and 2 USB outlets ?CBE don't even make a double socket. All their sockets are singles joint together under a double cover.
This would be an obvious combination.

That looks like a domestic surface mount socket ?Here you go
Mum and dad's have been done elsewhere via their dealer, and are the flush fitting ones, whereas ours are the non flush variety, fitted by our habitation guy
I'll take a look later whilst in the van for the make or if I can't see, I'll ring our hab guy for you

That socket, and the one next to it, are my mains sockets.if you really wanted them, then i would consider adding a usb connector to the socket you already have as it looks as though there might be space next to the on off switch. a bit of work using a dremel, but you could make a pretty good neat job if you took your time. you could either transplant the usb 'bits' from a usb flush mounted facia or get just the facia/slot in type meant for vehicles etc?
i have them all over my house and in a couple of our rentals. never had a problem to be honest. As I understand it, USB on 230v sockets are not very voltage stable and can be unreliable.
I would just fit USB sockets from scratch wherever you want them.
I wanted to leave the mains set up as is incase we go on hook up.why not remove the socket and make safe the wiring and then replace the fitting with a double usb socket? i actually think from memory that a usb socket just connects direct to the mains supply anyway?
you could then trace back the wires that feed you socket, back to the your consumer unit and remove them from your consumer unit and fit directly to your inverter?
are you aware of the renogy inverters, with main pass through when connected to EHU? if you used one of those then the sockets would remain live whether they were connected to the EHU or fed by the inverter.
look pn you tube for renogy inverters and you will understand a bit more than i can tell you !!
there are a few ways of achieving the same effect using a relay, but the renogy does it all for you ! of course battery size and the ability to replenish it is a major factor.

Hard wiring a double socket direct from the inverter, which is only 300 watts, would be the easiest and cheapest option and if it had USB outlets would be neater than my present set up.
As you can get domestic double sockets with USB's I just assumed that you could get motorhome/caravan versions.
