Dometic tall fridge Freezer

I have noticed water dripping from the outside vent which backs onto fridge , is this normal only had van a few months , I never had this on our previous caravans ?

It's normal. If you open the vent you will see the hose that allows the drip-tray on the back of the inside of the fridge to vent water that drips off the fins.

Only if the condensation pipe has been routed to exit from the vent, but it's not something I have come across before on older units, but maybe a previous owner has carried out a modification.
Normally, removal of the lower vent reveals a small plastic pot, sitting on the warm/hot condenser pipe, which collects the condensation from a down tube. From there it tends to evaporate.
