Hi all. We have a 2022 Renault Summit Shine 540. The Dometic fridge, series 10 (pic attached of model-cant find a fix in the manual) has started beeping. It beeps like 30 seconds then stops then starts again. It's been four days of it.

The door is definitely shut. We've had it connected to power at a campsite and on the aux battery and it does it regardless. Does it when the heater is running and when it isn't (read could do this when drops below a certain voltage?) We had to shut the fridge off overnight to sleep which is a pain. We're going to try contact the dealer, it's still under warranty, but they're a three hour drive from us so if we could fix it ourselves would be amazing.

I read online it could be condensation but can't figure out where to clean that in this fridge, any photos online are other models. Ive attached a photo of what I think I need to clean but it's not coming off easily and we're scared to force it if it's not supposed to come off. Any advice would be more than welcome, thank you in advance!

Sounds like low power supply, don't know if there's anything different in here.

I'll double check that but the power supply issue is strange as on a full charge aux battery it did it, as well as when connected in a very quiet campsite.

Added info: The warning light doesn't flash when it beeps, also car is 2023 not 22 haha

On our 2019 Dometic fridge there is a small circuit board that controls the light when you open the door and the alarm. Condensation had formed n the board causing a short and had the same effect as you have. Whilst we were away just removed the small board which on yours is probably in that little box, then put it back in when it went in for warranty work. Did not effect the working of the fridge just the light did not come on.

Does it beep on all energy sources or just on mains?
If just on mains it's probably low voltage.
On the older models door switches were often a problem on the series 8 the trick was to take the steel strip out and rebend it.

Thanks for the reply! The box won't come off easily at all we've pried at it, but it's all I can think could be the issue, at least as far as we can fix. Just don't know how to get it off. Will have another go at it, thanks!

If you have a hair dryer or fan heate with you try blowing warm air into the grill to see if you can dry it out

On mains means running off the aux battery? Or when in its plugged in on campsite to the electricity? Sorry I'm in Spain and we don't use that terminology haha! Either way it does it on both

We have a little fan I might try that thanks!

Our Dometic also does this about once every year every two years.

The cover over the board/switch does come off but there is a bit of a knack to it. Ours pulls of from the back edge from memory.

Unplug the wiring and give it a dry. I also apply a very small smear of vaseline to the connections or spray some contact spray if you have some (not wd 40)

Leave it a while and then re connect.

All should be well. If not look at the screws holding the switch, there is a small amount of adjustment available and sometimes moving closer to the edge of of the fridge can help.

There is a Dometic service bulletin about the bleeping problem on page one of the Manuals for Motorhome stuff section of Resources (bottom of this page) , it is regarding the 8 series, but may be helpful.

I have the same compressor fridge RC104P100 in a 2023 Globecar Summit Shine 540. I've also been having problems albeit slightly different ones. I took the temperature sensor cover off today (2 small crosshead screws) and on this model there is no wiring socket to unplug, just the temperature sensor and its wires disappearing out the side. So there doesn't seem to be anywhere for the condensation to get to, unless it is at a connector out the back of the fridge.

One of the manuals has a page translating beeps. From this webpage you can download the operating manual listed immediately under the installation manual
https://documents.dometic.com/search/?query=RC104p10
The beeps are explained on page 33. When they happen the panel warning light should also be on.
My problem is that the panel has recently started beeping and the temperature lights flashing apparently randomly. The warning light does not come on, so the problem is not covered by the manual. I have a pic catching the top 2 temperature setting lights flashing together. At other times all 5 of them have flashed together. After one session the fridge turned itself off completely. And of course these events are at 1-4am in the morning! It's under warranty but trip to the dealer and back is 600 miles, so if anyone has any good ideas......
The lithium leisure battery has been at 13.2-13.3V.
The door open warning beep sequence is 3 beeps, short pause and repeat. No lights flash on the panel.
Edit: the fridge light in my case is an LED strip near the front of the fridge, but I can't see how to take the cover off it or even if it has a cover. The wires must exit the fridge behind the light.

After reading on posslforum.de (thank god for google translate!) that humidity can affect the panel causing strange effects and that there are some submenus not mentioned in the operating manual, I played with extended/repeated presses on the panel buttons and managed to get the panel lights to flash in the same way as was happening spontaneously overnight! So I think the fault I have has moved from the fridge itself to the (remote) control panel. I guess it could also be a wiring issue, but I'll have to find out how to get the panel out to progress that. Anybody have any suggestions if it is humidity related? (We do sleep with a vent open!)
