Hi there!
Our Dometic RMD 8555 has no display lights. EVEYTHING works except for the display lights.
We can use it on Gas, Mains, Battery etc but we have no idea what temperature it is set at. The light inside the fridge is on and the fridge beeps if the door is left open etc.
Any ideas on what's going on please. :)

These fridges are prone to getting condensation in behind the control panel so the first thing I'd do is take it off and give it a blast with a hair dryer and check the connections.

The above is true, these fridges are rubbish as they get older and they do start to show their age. Mine does the same thing plus it no longer knows the door is closed and beeps all the time. There are some poor design choices that lead to things getting damp via condensation such as the control panel as noted and the interior light door switch.

I cured the constant beeping by gently screwing a self-tapper into the "buzzer" on the control panel. I get around the display light issue by making sure it's as dark as possible; they light up just enough to judge what's what. I've also replaced the thermal paste in the fridge. It works for me, for now...

Replacement panels can be had, at a price and long-ish wait. I got a second-hand display from a Funster and whilst it now displays the faults as above the fridge broadly, as in your case, works.

If you have the opportunity to remove the panel for a good length of time, then doing the above-suggested hairdryer trick plus leaving it in a sealed box with loads of those little packs of moisture crystals will also help.

Let's assume that when not in use, the doors of the fridge and freezer are left open. And, more a question really as I've not had the time to see what happens, but have you used the "frame heater" capability? Would this help with moisture...?

The rear control’ panel behind lower vent also gets corroded so worth checking the edge connections
