The cooling unit has become dangerous due to corrosion.I have seen one in very good condition from a RMS8400.The manual appears to be the same for both models.Does anyone know of a problem. It would save me around £600
Printed off the diagrams and there are many parts with the same part numbers. The diagrams seemed have been drawn in a slightly different perspective.
Thanks Richard for this link though, especially at this time of the evening.there must have been "nowt" on TV
I reckon its the front control panel. The RM 8400 needs you to push in a knob for the gas then press an ignite button, the RMS appears to be more "automatic" with more lights etc.I will make enquiries from Dometic, they may help me
The RMS8400 is a stepped cabinet version of the RM8400 and the cooling system is fitted higher up on the rear of the fridge to allow for the step in the bottom of the RMS8400 .
I reckon the only solution is to take old fridge out and compare. We only use fridge for beer etc so I'll just have to drink red wine or park near a pub
