We have a Dometic 3 way fridge in a 2011 Adria Coral which has been working fine over the past couple of months. Yesterday it would not light on gas when we had stopped to do a bit of shopping. The igniter clicks away but doesn’t ignite. We have plenty of gas and the cooker works fine. Have tried it on Gas and AES setting with same result.

Prior to the problem, we did drive a hilly/bendy route and the vehicle was bouncing around a bit.

THE FRIDGE SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE ON 12V AND 240V.

I’ve had a look on this forum to see if I can find any similar threads but unable to find the same issue.

Any ideas/suggestions as to what we can try would be welcome.

Thanks

as the hob works, it could easily be a blocked gas jet, or the control board is dud with a failed relay

I have a similar problem occasionally, had the problem a couple of weeks back, first check the pilot jet end, it may just be the jet is dirty or the thermocouple out of adjustment

Had this with my Adria three weeks ago. For me a bit or debris had fallen down from above and blocked the jet. Nice easy fix.

I'd go with that after your bumpy road. You should be able to see it / clear it with the vent covers removed.

Pull off the bottom vent.
Drop the burner out of the flue.
If you’ve got a bike pump put your finger on the back of the air hole to the right of the gas jet and pump on the front hole that may free any debris on the burner.
Your flue may need a brush out.
We get black bits behind the fridge.
It could be the gas valve is stuck, give it a tap with a spanner.
Give the wire loom a push the wires might have come loose.
DON’T DO THIS IF ON HOOKUP in case you touch the 240v.

Thanks for the responses. The fridge seems to be working OK on gas the next day but we are away from the van for a few days so have shut off gas and electricity and cleared out fridge. When we get back to the van I will test and if it is still playing up will take the cover off and implement the suggestions above.

Thanks
