I have a Dometic Flytex FT200 fitted to my PVC door. Problem is the control cord that’s threaded through the mesh has snapped. Seems to me it should be a DIY repair using a darning needle and replacement cord costing pennies rather than junk it and replace at £350! The frame looks like it will come out easy enough, but I can’t figure out the configuration of the cords. There appears to be two adjustable cords secured at the top & bottom corners of the frame leading edge. Has anybody tackled this job? Advice and ideally pictures most welcome.

I've done a small blind in the hab door that had control cords. I believe the flyscreen works the same way to try to keep the leading edge square. Technically it wasn't that hard, it was just really faffy. Took me a couple of hours to repair and another half an hour to get the tension right. And it needed about 3 times more cord than I was expecting.

Your Dometic Flytex FT200 looks like it is a re-badged Horrex Ducato Door Fly Screen H2

All these screens tend to work the same and as such you could probably repair yours the same.

Here is some info that might help you.

I re-strung our cords with 1mm kevlar kite string bought from Amazon.

Two on Tour - thanks very much. Massively useful info!

Just done mine today what a pig of a job.
Just take your time.
To get off the frame undue 4screws at bottom then lift frame about 10mm and it will come off.

Looks like there is Paint all over it but it's just on the dust sheets on the table 😅

I used a rivit head to clamp the brade next to the spring.
