Before I cut the end of I would like to get the correct socket that fits the end you plug into you van
It looks a solid connection as the cover screws it onto the fitting in need I.e the socket I am looking for
The cigarette lighter sockets are not up to the job for this I feel
Appreciate help in even finding a name for what I need

Are you sure that is the DC lead as it looks like and American mains plug to me.

Cigar lighter sockets are best avoided for high current, Hella sockets are better and are rated at 20 amps but quality varies.
Buy from someone like 12v Planet to make sure you get a decent qualty one.

Another alternative would be a flying lead using Anderson connectors, also avalible from 12v Planet

It's an ARB fridge threaded plug which requires an ARB threaded socket to plug into.

Same as mine on a CFX45. I identified which was the positive and then used two spade terminals to connect to those pins, then hard wired it to the van’s 12 volt system with an inline fuse.

I did do that last year but want to use it in my 2 vans and my son will use it as well
