Any ideas / suggestions welcome!

Dometic PerfectView 360 AHD system - no longer in warranty and has recently developed a fault. I’ve examined and tested whole system and can pinpoint the problem to a faulty camera. The response from Dometic UK was to replace the entire system (on top of the original cost another £1700 plus fitting so possibly circa £2500). As you would expect I rejected this scandalous suggestion as an acceptable solution, on environmental grounds alone if nothing else. The system is still being sold and all I need is a replacement camera! (In fact the installation manual advises the installer to make sure that the cameras are accessible so that a replacement can be made if necessary).

I was then advised to contact one of their UK dealers. To date I have called and emailed almost all of them in turn and so far not received a single response - not even from the original installer.

I am lead to believe that the cameras used are fairly generic - the requirement being to use exactly the same technical spec - in my case 720p, analogue with a 180 degree field of view. The connector is less important as there are a wide range of adaptors available. So far, not so good.

Any suggestions welcome!

John fitted this have yet to sort out the screen, just using it on the dash like a satnav at the moment, works fine, adjusts so solar still hits the panel and camera is fine, can reach it from the bed window, for if we ever need to charge it by ghard wire.IMG_0373.webp

I seem to recall that most camera lenses are the same technical specs, there was a shortage after Covid and it turned out they are all made in the same place by Sony I think.

Don’t quote me though.

If you look on eBay there are cameras very cheap - only a few quid for some. Probably worth trying one to see if it works.

Not sure why you describe Dometic support for an out of warranty fault as woeful.

It failed out of warranty, so I would have thought at best Dometic would suggest a local service agent, such as whoever fitted it in the first place - especially as the fault could turn out to be with the original installation rather than the units.

I think the OPS point is that dometic still sell the whole system but won't supply one replacement camera. A bit like saying if you break a shelf in your fridge you need a replacement fridge!
I must admit I'm a bit surprised anyone pays £2500 for a 360 camera system!

It's certainly a good thing to raise on here it's one thing to pay a lot for a camera system it's another to pay a lot for one which you know has little if any aftersales support and spares
