Hi All.

Just got to our first ever pitch with our new to us MH SWIFT 696.

All went well, until I put the fridge on, it just keeps beeping on electric, gas and battery. ( We actually ran out if gas at home the other day after being told it was full at sale.)
Anyway other than a full on issue with elements etc, isn't there anything to check. We did an over night Xmas day and the fridge was fantastic on over night and all day at home on hookup.
Fuse looks fine...

Thanks
Martin.

Beeping often means the doors open. Appreciate you have obviously closed the door, however, may be worth checking its a clear fit all around the seal and no air entering

I've run my hand around the seal and that seems fine and a couple of closes with conviction

If it's like most Dometics, the fuse/s in the consumer unit / panel is for 12v operation only, which only works with engine running. 240v operation is via the main 240v socket circuit , so check where it's plugged in, usually under or at the back of a cupboard . Also worth checking socket circuit hasn't tripped.

The fridge will not cool on 12v except with the engine running , have you replaced the gas and is it turned fully on and if on EHU is it connected ok
Which model and year of Dometic 8 series fridge do you have (there may be a label inside the fridge)

Does your hob ignite? You may need to reset your crash valve on the regular.

Does it still beep when the engine is running and switched to 12v?

Does is beep constantly or for a few seconds?

A little trick I was shown to check the door closed switch is working is to set your mobile to record a video, stick it in the fridge and close the door, wait a few seconds then take the phone out and watch the recording back, if fridge light goes out, door switch is working, if internal light stays on, the closed door switch has a problem as I did with mine as fridge internal light was staying on, and was getting fault triangle and no cooling on any power source. This is obviously only valid if the fridge light is working !

A very common fault with these fridges is condensation in the switch, I have had it just once in 5 years but it's been mentioned on here several times. Took the switch off, cleaned and dried it and worked perfect since then. Maybe take a look.
There is some spray you can obtain to protect the electrics if that is the issue and it happens a lot.

Hi Geoff.

I'm on EHU. We ran out of gas so turn3d that all to off. The fridge turns on the EHU option. Just getting the beep and red triangle.

If you are set on A (auto) turn it off and try manual selection of electric. Plus then press the triangle to reset.
Worth a try. 👍

If what tonka has suggested does not work you need to confirm that the 230v power is getting to the Motorhome (is the mains battery charger working ? ) and that the Motorhome PSU 230v trip switches are set correctly.
The fridge display controls are 12v operation .

In the 1970s, pre mobile phones and video cameras, a similar process was used to see if the light in the boot of my aunties car was switching off when the boot was closed, as the battery kept losing charge....I was the mobile phone 😗

Hi Tonka

I have the below so no Auto. Comes on sits on EHU. I am plugged in as using lights and heating and that's all working.

Strangely it felt a little cold as if it was working ..but ever few mins it was beeping and flashing red triangle.

I had an issue where the mains plug for the fridge in the main connector box had worked loose and just needed pushing back in. (y)

If you have checked all of the 230v supply connections/trip switches/Motorhome internal fridge isolation switch/plug , and they are all ok , it may be worth trying a different Motorhome 230v supply source as the one you are on may be supplying a lower voltage causing the alarm to activate.
Which control buttons on the panel are flashing or is it a acoustic sound only ? (the buttons flashing with an acoustic sound would indicate which fault there is , if it is only a acoustic sound it points to a faulty interior light or condensation within it)
