Dometic 12v fridge bulb......but an LED replacement?

Hi all.

Our Dometic AES 7 series F/F, has the most pathetic excuse for a light bulb illuminating the fridge, (or rather not as is the case).



This is the tungsten replacement...........

Pardon our interruption...

I am after an LED replacement, but can't seem to find one.
Has anyone been down this route themselves, and if so, how did you get on please?

Dometic only sell the complete unit, but at upwards of £54, they can keep it.

I’ve not seen anything exactly like that but I’m wondering if a 12v G9 LED might fit, or could be adapted, it‘s slightly different but has the two protruding bare connections just the same.

Thanks, but been there and done that, hence still struggling.

Sorry, but none of these G9 bulbs have the same "twist and connect fit" as the replacement, and the last thing I want are the connections arcing, due to a loose or incorrect fitment.

Looks that the bottom bit should pull off and a normal led should fit

I'm pretty certain the bulb is soldered inside the fitting Joe, as it won't pull out, and the holder won't split.

It is tiny compared to an LED double pin G4/G9 push fit bulb.
