Arrived in France and the seal has broken on one of our skylights. Ours is a windup/down where as they seemed to have changed the
design to a push/pull bar. Do you think the frame will have changed and the seals will be inter changeable.

Never known any heki skylights to have a winder they all have a push bar. Are you sure it's not a fiamma or a remus?

We have a heki wind up skylight. They will do spares specific for your model, including seals. May I ask, what are the symptoms. Are you getting a water leak? If you are, it's most likely a sealant issue on the outside of the skylight and not the seal.

Sorry it's a Dometic. It appears to have split. It was very difficult to wind up and I suspect it was stuck to the roof light and has separated i.e. 'ripped'
I don't have an easy way of getting up until we get to our house so will climb up then. My friend has sent me this link. https://www.leisureshopdirect.com/v...of-vent/dometic-mini-heki-plus-rooflight-seal ahh now I have looked at it I see its in a single piece so I guess the sealant has come away and some new sealant may be all I need. On that subject what sealant should I buy. Cheers

They just stick them in at a few points around the trim using superglue. If you get a free air version it doesn’t come with that seal but other may fit and just need to be trimmed to length. Ours on our big skylight has been coming out on this holiday, so will get some glue and stick it back in when I get home. Also I believe the seal is the same on new versions and it isn’t there for water seal, it an air seal so don’t worry about rain/water.
