We've skied in the dolomites but never visited out of the ski season or in the MH. It is a fantastic area

Whatever you do don’t deviate and use the 111 between sillian and kotschach, it can be a bit lairy in places, stunning road though (maybe in a mini😁) although at the kotschach end alpencamp is pretty good site👍

Okay, some of the places we visited and would recommend.

Tre Cime di Lavaredo (The three peaks)
There are two sites to stay on, one on each side of the road (20 Euros), and you then take the bus up to the three peaks it's self for 10 Euros and return each, which stops at the roundabout.

Passo di Giau is worth a drive to, to take in the views.

Drive further on to the Pordoi Pass for more stunning views.

A little further on is the Sella pass where you can take the "coffin lifts" up to the mountain to the lodge for a coffee.

There is no motorhome parking there, but you can overnight just down the road at Selva di Val Gardena for 8 Euros and catch the bus up to the Sella pass.

If you want a nice quiet and restful stopover up in the mountain pastures, then there is a parking area near Varena.
