Evening 👋🏻

Can I just ask re travelling with dogs to France. I have read that you can’t take any foods containing meat including dry nuggets ….. only vegan nuggets or wet food ?

Is this correct ?

As Lenny says - you are correct but we have never had anyone check and we travel back and forth twice each way yearly.

There was a time when the French customs had bins adjacent to their station. These seem to have gone now. No questions about food or anything else in June or September although a very jolly french customs officer checked our garage and shower for foreign people. We forgot to pick any up.

We travel regularly from UK to France with our dog and have never been asked about dog food...or any food, for that matter.

Just to be safe we took our dog food made with “salmon” when this rule came in as you can take fish products. Left it in the bag so could show anyone who was interested. Since then just take his normal chicken food and take the label off of the salmon bag. Never checked though. 👍🏻
