Since childhood!
I've currently got a Fiamma roll out canopy over my side door, and am considering adding an awning rail to that I can add a tarp on the other side to increase shade and shelter options. I'm wondering whether anyone on here has done anything similar.

There's a few site wardens that have just spat their coffees out :ROFLMAO: . Not many sites would allow awnings both sides unless you disguise the middle van bit as a tent

Not planning to use both sides on sites, and there will never be two awnings. I'm often off site, and it would be useful then, when at events or other meets, to have the second shade. Should probably have put 'awning rails' or canopy in the header rather than awning.

Not on both sides, but our 2010 Burstner has a 'C' rail stuck to the length of the habitation door side by a previous owner.

It also has a factory built in 'C' rail across the back between the flat vertical panel and the moulded curved panel that carrys the Burstner logo.
I only discovered it when fitting the bike rack. It is useable but fiddly !

The C rail on the side is stuck on with Sikaflex and is robust enough to take a Kampa Air Awning.

I cant see a problem with fitting and using a 'C' rail on the other side of your van.

Good Luck(y)

Depending on furniture it may be possible to fit a roll out awning both sides. I knew a chap years ago who had one on both sides, one for normal use and the other for flogging stuff at rallies.

There's a number of members on the T6forum who have done this, awning rail on the drivers side for a tarp.

Was going to say that you can also get a hidden C-rail on the roof but you won't have your roof, will you!

Never had two rails / channels but have thought about it.

I've never considered a rail on the back but that might be an idea for covering bike racks or back boxes when on site but may also suggest there is something there worth stealing.

Many RV's have sun shades over each window to shade the glass both sides as needed. Doesn't touch the ground so should be allowed anywhere. Unless you want the full shade on that other side of van?
